A leading supplier of branded and private label home-fashion products, Ellery Homestyles came to us for a “brochure” style website to showcase their brands and high level details about their company.
Phase I: Wireframes
We began our engagement with a deep dive session to identify the primary goals of the new Ellery website, along with what content (both written copy and photography) would be available for the site. Based on this session, we put together a wireframe to show the information hierarchy of the website. View the wireframe
Phase II: Visual Design
With the help of Ellery’s existing brand guidelines and style guide, we worked with the client to determine their “look and feel” preferences. After two rounds of revisions, we finalized the visual design:
Phase III: WordPress Development
Once the design was approved, development began. We incorporated many jQuery effects; the subtle movement helped elevate the look and feel of the site.
The WordPress theme we built allows the internal team at Ellery to update copy, photos, products, brands, etc. as they need. As always, we used Advanced Custom Fields to create an intuitively organized back-end that includes helpful annotations so the team at Ellery knows what dimensions all photos should be, as well as what copy/content should go where.
