I am an interactive designer/developer with expertise in information architecture, visual design, and front-end development. I have a Master's degree from NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program and have worked for Apple (on the apple.com team), The New York Observer (as lead IA for the Webby-nominated Observer.com), Corebrand, and others.

As principal of Tamara Olson Designs, I have designed and developed numerous websites for large companies and nonprofits (Conde Nast, The Asia Society), small businesses (Partnership for the Environment, Stars of Tomorrow, Ten Waverly), documentary films (Surrender Tango, Salt Harvesters), and musicians (Danny Ross, Abby Bernstein).

My Toolkit

• Omnigraffle for wireframes (though I am equally comfortable in Visio)
• Photoshop for design (also comfortable with Fireworks, though it's been a few years)
• Textmate for code (I don't trust WYSIWYG editors)
• Expert-level HTML/CSS coding skills - if it doesn't validate, it's not okay
• Javascript (I prefer jQuery)
• PHP and MySQL
• Intermediate Flash and Actionscript
